Our Mission

Our mission is to bring hope and dignity into women's lives by providing them with the opportunity to achieve economic independence.

We are committed to elevating the economic status of women, especially those whom, as a result of war, migration, addiction, or death of their spouse, have been left alone to secure livelihoods for their families.

We believe the economic advancement of women is a key to ensuring a brighter future for upcoming generations.

We believe that the security, safety, and stability offered by the family unit should not be threatened by a woman's inability to generate an income.

We believe that by investing in women with potential and by helping them to generate incomes, we are investing in improved housing, education, and nutrition for the entire family.

We believe that economic independence breeds self-confidence and self-esteem.

We believe that women who have self-confidence and self-esteem, are more likely to make valuable contributions to their society.

We believe that a woman that is active in the workforce is more likely to be aware of the issues facing her community and is thus, more likely to develop into a leader of her community.

We are committed to investing our time, energy, and creativity into developing long-term solutions for the issues facing our community.

We believe that by helping women rise out of poverty, we are helping them overcome the state of hopelessness, desperation and depression that often accompanies that poverty.

We are dedicated to forming positive and empowering partnerships with the women of Mehr and to fostering feelings of hope, dignity and joy in our community.
